Working principle
The structured light camera projects specific light patterns, such as stripes, dot arrays, or Gray, onto the surface of the object, and then uses the camera to capture the deformed light patterns reflected back from the object's surface. Due to the undulations the object's surface, the light patterns will be deformed. By analyzing this deformation information, combined with the principle of triangulation, the depth information of each point the object's surface can be calculated, and thus the three-dimensional model of the object can be constructed.
Product characteristics
Advantages: High precision, capable of obtaining detailed surface details of the object, suitable for applications with high precision requirements, such as industrial inspection, face recognition, etc.
Disadvantages: Susceptible to light interference, in strong light environments, external light may mask the projected light patterns, resulting in measurement errors or even failure to operate normally. At the same time, is sensitive to the movement of the object, and is generally suitable for the measurement of static objects.
Application scenarios
In industrial inspection, it can be used to detect defects, dimensional accuracy of products, etc.; in the field of face recognition, by projecting structured light to obtain the three-dimensional features of the face, the accuracy and of recognition can be improved, such as the face unlocking function of some mobile phones uses structured light technology.
